Music Video of the Day: Petrol Girls “Phallocentric” (2016)

Meet Petrol Girls. The South East London four piece have been making waves with their own brand of feminist post-hardcore music and in their latest single, “Phallocentric”, they’ve gone and laid it all out on the table once more. The music video features bodies and paint – hooked yet?

The song, taking the symbol of the phallus-as-male dominance, and ridiculing conservative attitudes is brought to vibrant life as the people involved in the clip pour paint, smear their bodies and have fun celebrating the ‘full rainbow of sex’.
