Music Video of the Day: Nahko and Medicine for the People “San Quentin” (2016)

Nahko and Medicine for the People have never been known for shying away from issues important to them through their music. Embracing the difficult and the confrontational has always been an element to their output that has roused such a loyal following of fans from around the world – the music is shining and the messages expertly delivered.

In new single “San Quentin”, Nahko gets possibly more personal than before, telling the story of his visit to the famous prison in meeting the man who murdered his father. The song, now with new film clip, is featured on the band’s new album HOKA, due out in June. The music video is equally as arresting as the song itself – a journey to gain some closure, Nahko visited the prison to forgive the man in question in person.
