Music Video of the Day: Little May “Seven Hours” (2015)

As with every bit of music they’re putting out, Little May‘s music video for single “Seven Hours” is as gorgeous and flecked with an ethereal quality as you’d expect. The girls, currently on tour through Europe, release the visuals along with the release of their long-awaited and much anticipated debut record For the Company today.

Directed by Gareth Davies, the music video takes the viewer on an adventure taking in themes of loss, yearning – an emotional exploration through a surreal depiction. Davies has said of the video:

“It comes from an idea of a man moving through and letting go of a past relationship and coming to terms with this loss. Whales are a totem for me, personally – so it was serendipitous to see afterwards that they also appear all throughout the band’s album artwork also. There was definitely something significant and special about working on this video.”

Little May’s album For the Company is out now via Dew Process/UMA. You can catch the band performing over the New Year’s period on the Falls Festival and Southbound tour.
