Music Video of the Day: GUM “Gemini” (2016)

Another mint slice from Jay Watson aka GUM today, this time in the form of a music video for his tune, “Gemini”. Taking influence from classic favourites like The Never Ending Story, the clip was shot in Los Angeles under the directorial and editorial eye of Sam Kristofski.

Featuring Teresa Oman and Stephen Engstrom, the “Gemini” film clip is slick and well crafted and as Kristofski explains, astrology also played a part in the origins of the video.

“I love the idea of people blaming their behavior on their star sign too,” Kristofski explains. “I think that was the whole section around someone crying, and in deep thought then cutting to the symbol. Also Jay fighting his star sign was based around that whole Gemini double personality thing, in combat with your other half, I just did the 80’s Karate Kid thing as it mixed in with the theme and tone of the clip.”
