Music Video of the Day: Blossoms “Honey Sweet” (2017)

British dream-electropop group Blossoms are only on the way up – after their eponymous debut album spent two weeks at UK number one last year, they’ve received nominations for both ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ at the BRIT Awards andBest New Act’ at the VO5 NME Awards this year. Yeah. These guys are more than alright.

To add to their allure, they’ve dropped their self-directed video for ‘Honey Sweet’ – a saccharine single from their 2016 album. A homage to “80’s funk electropop” and “80’s cinema”, you’ll see features of 80’s favourites including The Smiths and the Delorean.

“We like to dabble at filmmaking ourselves when we can, so we jumped at the chance to make our own video again…think ET meets Strangers Things shot in Stockport, written, shot, directed and edited ourselves.”
