Late last week, Music Victoria announced the launch of Live Music Professionals, the organisation’s brand new 100% free mentorship program targeted towards independent promoters and live music venues within the Victorian region.
Focused on helping create a strong and sustainable live music economy in Victoria, the new program will match a total of 20 successful applicants with some of the state’s most skilled and experienced professionals for one-on-one mentorship in key areas of the live music industry. In addition, successful applicants will also be able to attend specialised workshops tailored towards each of their specific needs, attend the annual Face the Music conference, and gain access to a wide range of physical and digital networking opportunities.
In a press release statement, Music Victoria CEO Patrick Donovan said Live Music Professionals is designed to “up-skill the next generation of leading promoters and venue operators to ensure the Victorian live music sector continues to grow and prosper.”
Applications to participate in the first round of Live Music Professionals will be open until 31 March 2017. More information on how to apply can be found here.
