Meshuggah touring Australia with new album The Violent Sleep of Reason next March!

Who’s up for some metal and progressive rock? Meshuggah, one of Sweden’s pioneering metal bands, is marking their 30th anniversary with a world tour and Australia and New Zealand is on the roster! With stops in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle, there are lots of opportunities to catch Meshuggah in action.

With the release of their eighth full-length studio album The Violent Sleep of Reason coming up, Meshuggah reasserts their legacy as the godfather of djent and their place in the extreme metal history. Meshuggah’s drummer, Tomas Haake says this tour is all about giving fans something that they don’t really hear in any other bands.

“We’re not trying to write your average metal song. We’re just trying to write something that is cool, that we haven’t heard before, and hopefully our fans haven’t heard before. And this gets harder and harder, because by now, there are so many fucking awesome musicians and so much great music out there.”

The Violent Sleep of Reason will be dropping on 7th October via Nuclear Blast Records, but tickets for their shows are already on sale, here!
