Meredith sells out in less than 30 minutes while Golden Plains announces dates for 2012

The 21st Meredith Music Festival is now sold out. Demand for tickets was as strong, if not stronger, than ever. Ballot sales closed Tuesday 30 August. Store sales sold out on the morning of Thursday September 1. There were people camping out overnight in front of some of the stores. Meredith staff were on hand throughout the early morning to make sure nobody lined up unnecessarily, to direct people to other stores and to hand out free coffee to people in each line. Online sales happened today Friday 2 September and took less than 30 minutes to sell through the allocation. In Meredith’s 21-year history, it has sold out on all but two occasions.

The next opportunity for discerning music lovers to spend quality time in the fabled Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre is via Meredith’s sister festival, Golden Plains. Dates for the festival are now announced: Golden Plains Sixxx will take place on March 10-12, 2012. All details are at www.goldenplains.com.au.
