It’s been a minute, but Lewis Capaldi’s back, and this time, he’s doing it on his own terms.
After a couple of years away from the spotlight, the Glaswegian is launching back in with a brand new single, a humble Glastonbury set, and a full run of headline shows across Australia this December.
It marks his first visit to this part of the world since Falls Festival 2019, and his first proper tour here after cancelling a planned 2023 run to prioritise his health. If you missed the context, the Netflix documentary How I’m Feeling Now, is a good place to start. A lot’s changed since then, but Capaldi’s still got his trademark mix of vulnerability, and the self-deprecating charm that shot him to global name status in the first place.
The announcement follows his surprise return to Glastonbury last month, where he played a short, emotional set to a packed Pyramid Stage crowd. His first single in two years “Survive” landed that same week, a gut punch with a smile, written with longtime collaborator Romans (the same duo behind “Someone You Loved”).
