After a sold-out collaborative tour with fellow hip hop producer Pete Rock, the legendary DJ Premier is ready to make a return to Australia for a string of shows across the country as part of his whirlwind “Boom Bap” tour. Australia will be the first country on his schedule, once again giving us access to one of the most prolific and respected producers in hip hop who has stood as a pillar of the music since tracks like Nas’ “NY State of Mind and Jay Z’s “D’Evils” stood as instant classics alongside Premo’s work with Guru as Gang Starr.
Since the late 80’s, DJ Premier’s beats have left an indelible impression on hip hop fan’s around the world, becoming inseparable from the art and quickly becoming one of the reference points for golden age hip-hop. The trailblazing DJ and producer has since worked across hip hop, R&B, soul, and even some pop.
