US late night talk shows are a showcase of all-things celebrity, politics, humor, comedy and music. They are often treated as the final thing we see before we go to sleep. Darlene Love “Forbidden Nights” – The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (Wednesday)

Ah we still really, really miss Letterman and if there is one tradition of Dave’s I will forever miss it will be having Darlene Love on the last show before Christmas each year to sing her mega-hit “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”. In her first time back in the Ed Sullivan Theatre since last December with Dave, she brought along a few friends – Elvis Costello & Steven Van Zandt (of the E Street Band) to play a track off her new album Introducing Darlene Love.
