LA punk-rockers Bleached announce new EP, Can You Deal?, dropping March 3rd

Well, it’s 2017, can you deal with girls making rock music yet?

This is the question demanded by Jennifer Calvin, one of the lead sister’s of Bleached. Since the band have been creating melodic, urgent punk rock dating back to their 2013 debut Ride Your Heart, discussion has tended to hover over what it’s like for the two sister’s to be making music in a (historically) man’s world, avoiding far more relevant (and less offensive) questions about their craft.

In response, Bleached have released the title track to their forthcoming EP, Can You Deal?, landing March 3 through Dead Oceans via Inertia Music. It squares up with anyone that’s ever tried to define Bleached, or any other artist, through their gender rather than their art.

Heck yes.

In conjunction with the EP, Jennifer Calvin will be releasing a limited edition zine also titled Can You Deal? with contributions from Hayley Williams (Paramore), Tegan Quin (Tegan and Sara), Jane Wiedlin (The Go Go’s), Alice Glass and more. All proceeds from the zine will go to Planned Parenthood. You can pre-order the EP HERE and check out the killer single below!
