Kim Gordon, Peanut Butter Wolf and more confirmed for new BIGSOUND keynotes!

BIGSOUND have named some heavy hitters as additions to this year’s conference line up this September. Sonic Youth icon and author of Girl in a BandKim Gordon, will be delivering a special keynote address as part of BIGSOUND’s 15th anniversary program, alongside the likes of Peanut Butter Wolf, head of the US Music Maker program for Pandora Lars Murray and more.

Festival co-programmer Nick O’Byrne says of Gordon’s addition to the line up, “It is an absolute honour to welcome these iconic cultural figures to BIGSOUND this year. Kim Gordon has been on our dream list of speakers for years and we’re so excited to hear from such an influential, challenging and still-relevant figure in music and art.”

“Also on that dream list has been one of the most important labels in the history of hip hop,” he says of Peanut Butter Wolf’s inclusion, referring to the iconic Stones Throw Records“We can’t wait to hear founder Peanut Butter Wolf and longstanding label mate J Rocc reflect on the music and people who have made it so seminal.”

BIGSOUND in 2016 will also see the inaugural masterclass program come into play, involving exclusive workshops with industry leaders, spearheading topics like Advanced Digital Advertising, Business Management & Tax for Artists, International Touring and more. Numbers are limited for these sessions to ensure the best quality experience for the attendees involved.
