Katie Harder set to bring “Jesse” to Darwin – listen to the latest from the Alice Springs songwriter

The next week is going to be pretty huge for Alice Springs singer songwriter Katie Harder. this week, she releases her latest slice of music in the sweet single, “Jesse”, and will be performing up in Darwin to launch it as part of the Darwin Festival.

Balancing performing and making new music in Alice, along with family life, is one act Harder has become extremely talented at; as a mother of four young boys, she’s got the perfect creative outlet in which to express her unique experiences, that’s for sure. And in “Jesse”, Harder has penned a lovely tribute to her son. As she explains:

“We all want the best for our kids and in this ever changing and sometimes scary world, it’s important for them to navigate life with sound advice and solid support from home. From this background, I want my boy to grow up to live a life that’s free.”

The single is taken from Harder’s forthcoming EP Beloved, and saw her work with previous NT Song of the Year Winner, Dave Crowe (Resin Moon). If you’re kicking about Darwin for the festival this month, be sure to catch Harder launching “Jesse” at the Darwin Railway Club, where she will be supporting Ali Barter on August 11th.
