Julia Jacklin on the road down the East Coast following hugely successful international debut!

She arrived in Austin, Texas a relative unknown but by the time she left SXSW, Julia Jacklin had reaped in a whole heap of acclaim and praise from critics and audiences over her eight show stint at the music festival. This month of course, Jacklin is returning home to tour her popular track “Pool Party”, bringing the good vibes from the likes of NPR, The Guardian and NME back with her.

Jacklin also won our praise as the runner up for Best Australian Band or Solo Artists in the 3rd Annual AU review SXSW Music Awards. You can check out the full list of this year’s award winners here. We also had a chat to Jacklin about her expectations and impression of SXSW, as well as her plans beyond Austin. You can check out our interview here!

“Pool Party” has enjoyed its own successes since its release, being added to FBi, Double J and triple J Unearthed, all the while climbing Spotify charts too. Check out the tour dates coming up and be sure to catch Julia’s sets in some great rooms before she jets back off overseas to tackle The Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City in the UK, plus more dates to follow!
