Jagermeister stage free, intimate gigs at the Hunting Lodge in Melbourne this October

To celebrate this year’s upcoming JÄGERMEISTER INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS (JIMA’s) being held in Melbourne on Wednesday 12 October, Jägermeister is giving music fans the chance to get up close and personal with some of the nominees with a series of free music events at the Jägermeister Hunting Lodge from October 7 – 11.

After the successful debut of the Lodge at this year’s Splendour in the Grass, it will be making its first appearance in Melbourne this October, functioning as a pop up bar in Melbourne Docklands and featuring DJ sets and intimate performances by the shortlisted nominees and potential winners of the upcoming JIMA’s.

Now in their sixth year, the JÄGERMEISTER INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS (JIMA’s) continue to grow and are now recognised as a barometer for future ‘big’ Australian acts. Previous winners include Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, The Hilltop Hoods, The Herd, Sneaky Sounds System and John Butler, many of whom have subsequently gone on to major critical and commercial success.

The Jägermeister Hunting Lodge is a nod to its heritage (Jägermeister means ‘Master of the Hunt’) and is the first step in a new direction for the iconic brand acknowledging that it has been ‘Hunting Since 1935’. Devotees are invited to be part of the Jägermeister story and rediscover the drink by seeking out a new Jägermeister experience. Made entirely of logs and complete with a wooden deck, timber floor, stone fireplace and 12 metre long bar, the Hunting Lodge will give music fans a unique opportunity to kick back in the cosy lounge, enjoy a few drinks and catch some first-class live music, all while experiencing where the Jägermeister legend was first born.

The Jägermeister Hunting Lodge will be located in the Waterfront Piazza 429 – 437 Docklands Drive, Docklands with performances running from 5.00 – 10.00pm each night and Sunday night from 2.00-8.00pm.
