Beloved indie folk artist Iron & Wine will make his long-awaited return to Australia in early 2026, bringing a run of intimate solo performances and festival appearances to audiences across the country.
It marks the first Australian visit in eight years for the project of US songwriter Sam Beam, who has been releasing music under the Iron & Wine name for more than two decades. Across seven studio albums, a series of EPs, and celebrated collaborations with artists like Calexico and Band of Horses, Beam has carved out a reputation for his warm, distinctive vocals and evocative storytelling.
This upcoming tour will see Iron & Wine perform solo, revisiting highlights from across his catalogue while also showcasing music from his most recent album Light Verse (2024). Fans can expect a mix of new material, deep cuts, and long-standing favourites, delivered in the intimate style that has defined his live shows.
Alongside headline dates, Iron & Wine is confirmed for festival appearances at WOMADelaide and the Port Fairy Folk Festival. The Australian shows follow an extensive run of North American dates throughout 2024 and 2025, including shared stages with Band of Horses and folk trio I’m With Her.
Tickets are on sale now, Thursday 2 October from 10am (local time).
