Irish folk singer Foy Vance set for national tour this September

In support of the release of his third studio album The Wild Swan, Foy Vance has announced details of a national Australian tour. Not the first time he has played down under, the Irish musician played shows around the country in December last year, where he toured alongside Ed Sheeran and Elton John.

Shared worldwide today, Vance recorded the folk inspired record at Nashville’s Blackbird Studios and released it through close friend and collaborator Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records. The album’s stunning lead single, also titled ‘The Wild Swan’, was released in the last week of April with haunting blackened white video and has already clocked up over 285,000 views on YouTube.

On the tour, Vance explained “This is my second official world tour and it’s the second time that it will start down under. No better place to begin. The weather, the food and the people are quite unlike any other. Looking forward to a schooner already.”

Joining the tour as support will be Byron Bay folk/soul artist Kyle Lionhart, who will be playing on the back of his recent single release’ Compromise’. Head to Foy Vance’s website for further ticket details.
