Paul Field AM is best known as the ex-manager of the children’s group The Wiggles, having been with the band since its inception through to 2020. Field, however, has lived many lives outside of that success from starting in The Cockroaches, to being a family man, meeting his wife over 40 years ago; to now releasing his debut solo album.
His album Love Songs for Lonely People, out June 4th, is a collection of significant covers and originals featuring the likes of good mates Jimmy Barnes and Kasey Chambers. We caught up to discuss his song selection and creative process, how managing The Wiggles has influenced his craft and his keys to success for group work, whether that’s his long term marriage or in bands.
