Hungry Kids of Hungary – Wristwatch (2010 Single)

The more I hear from Hungry Kids of Hungary, the more I like them. The four-piece from Brisbane have given us a taste of their forthcoming debut album with the feverish single Wristwatch. This is one short, sharp number jam packed with the Hungry Kids trademark twee harmonies mashed up with some deliciously pop keyboards and whirlwind drumming.

HKH definitely haven’t re-invented the wheel with
this one and if you’re looking for something deep and meaningful you
won’t find it here. However the Hungry boys have a knack for writing
enjoyable, energetic tunes that are great for a boogie and a beer with
your mates.Clocking in at just under two minutes, Wristwatch is cleverly constructed, unadulterated indie-pop. The song barely gives you time to breathe before the frenzied fun is over leaving you begging for another chance to crack out your best hipster dance moves. HKH are a young band going from strength to strength and Wristwatch is a pleasant glimpse of good things to come from these lads in the near future.
