Here are the full playing times for Splendour in the Grass 2016

As we gear up for another pilgrimage to North Byron Parklands for Splendour in the Grass the time has come to start frantically sifting through the official playing times to sketch out a rough schedule. Yes, there’s the expected – and dreaded – laundry list of clashes that will have you running around all day to see your favourites, but for the most part it seems the three-day festival has come up with a nice balance.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is that, aside from some additions for the smaller stages, there hasn’t really been that anticipated second-round lineup announcement. There’s also no Red Bull Music Academy stage this year, which is regularly where the show-stealers tinker.

The Thursday will once again have the grounds open as a pre-party of sorts, setting the mood for Friday which will be closed out by The Avalanches and The Strokes on the Ampitheatre stage. Saturday will see The Cure headline with an extended set from 9pm to midnight, sadly clashing with What So Not and Santigold who will be rounding out the Mix-Up Stage. The final day has Sigur Ros surprisingly on the Mix-Up stage while Flume handles duties over at the Ampitheatre.
