Guest Playlist: Marco gives us his isolation anthems

It’s been a couple of weeks since Brisbane’s Marco dropped latest single “Only Want You“, a dreamy slice of low-fi indie pop, perfect for fans of Shawn Mendes and Frank Ocean. Stripped back production gives Marco’s gorgeous vocals a real opportunity to shine, and though he’s never been one to reveal the true inspo behind his songs, “Only Want You” is an emotive, romantic listen.

Give it a spin below!

We recently caught up with Marco, and asked him to pop together a playlist of the tracks that are getting him through isolation. Read on to find out what he came up with!

  • “Self Control” by Frank Ocean

Always been one of my go-to tracks when I’m just trying to relax and have some music playing in the background. I’ve always loved Frank and his music.

  • “Me & Ur Ghost” by Blackbear

If you just wanna vibe and crush out some lyrics, throw this absolute TUNE on.

  • “IDK You Yet” by Alexander 23

One of my FAVOURITES from the start of 2020. Alexander 23 is definitely on the rise. His music is so simplistically beautiful it kills. Especially this song and its lyrics. I love this one so much I had to do my own cover of it.

  • “Modern Loneliness” by Lauv

The lyrics in this one really reflect the world we live in today and is definitely a tear-jerker. The music video is fucking amazing as well.

  • “Tempo” by Smino

Just vibe to this one. It’s so good.

  • “Casio” by Jungle

My girlfriend showed me this song a while back, and its such a good track to drive to when you wanna relax and wind the windows down a little.

  • “Feel So Good” by Mase

An oldie but such a fucking good song to bounce too. Get your best friend in the front seat and just vibe out, trust me.

  • “Stupid Deep” by Jon Bellion

I’ve always loved Jon Bellion and his music. This is definitely such a good track to reminisce on some old memories. Try not to cry too much when listening to it if you’re in your feels.

  • “Sugar” by Brockhampton

Brockhampton is so fucking dope. I don’t really know how to describe this track to be honest. I’d probably say this one is as smooth as butter. Such a sexy record.

  • “Honesty” by Pink Sweats

I’m all about keeping it simple and this track definitely is all about that. Guitar, sexy vocals. What more could you ask for? Especially from Pink Sweats.
