First Line-up announced for the annual Surry Hills Festival

Sydney’s iconic Surry Hills Festival has just announced the first round of live musical acts, joining the local creatives, designers, businesses and installation artists on September 26th. With an impressive line-up featuring artists Leah Flanagan, Noire, The Stiffys, Sons Of East and The Pigs, this year has the best of Sydney’s independent music scene on offer to the public.

Apart from being able to catch your favourite live act, the festival is also offering singer-songwriters the chance to enter the Surry Song Competition, with applications closing on September 18th. More acts are yet to be announced but the program also includes acts from the Australian Institute of Music, with a specially curated AIM pop up stage, showcasing a wide variety of Sydney’s emerging artists.

Don’t miss this family-friendly event immersing the culture, history and art of Sydney’s innovative heart. Entry is free with donation and funds raised on the day go towards vital community programs of the Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre.

The Surry Hills Festival is part of Art & About, presented by the City of Sydney.
