To celebrate Victoria’s diverse contemporary music scene, Music Victoria is presenting the third annual Age Music Victoria Genre Awards. Finalists were announced earlier this morning by Patrick Donovan, CEO of Music Victoria.
Specially selected expert panels voted on the best music across genres, from jazz to hip hop, global and heavy, and nominated the top five releases and acts of 2015. To recognise the artists’ contribution to Victorian music, all nominees in the Genre Awards will receive a generous rehearsal package at Bakehouse Studios.

The awards night will feature performances by Marlon Williams, Courtney Barnett and Harts performing short sets and the EG Allstars, who will be joined by special guests Ajak Kwai, Ben Salter, Blake Scott (The Peep Tempel), Briggs, Ecca Vandal, Emma Donovan, Iseula Hingano (Blue Eyes Cry) and Olympia.
