Melbourne pop punk act All Regards are excited to announce their debut EP ALL OUR DREAMS TURN TO NIGHTMARES – out 1 November – and we are stoked to premiere the video for new single “FALLBACK” ahead of its official release tomorrow.
Produced, mixed and mastered by Jack Newlyn (Between You & Me, Stuck Out), their latest offering is a moody singalong with big riffs and catchy hooks that will have you caught in their infectious grooves. It addresses the complacency of old habits with a desire to break the cycle before slipping into a velvet rut.
“FALLBACK is about hoping you’ve gotten away from your demons, whether that’s a toxic relationship with yourself, a friend or a substance, but knowing deep down that you haven’t,” the band explains.
“It’s about the feeling of knowing that despite your efforts or intentions, you’re going to fall right back into the same self-destructive patterns and being kind of resigned to it.”
Produced by ShotPro, the video begins as it ends with a shaky shot of guitarist Stefan Sepulveda (on vocals!) laying beside a glass of red wine. He starts the day by gulping it down then wanders aimlessly about the house, switching between drinks and going in circles to represent the strong message of the song.
It’s not until a cool reverse shot of Stefan undoing the day’s actions that he joins the rest of the band, finally doing something productive with the day. He then wakes up in the same situation but instead resists the temptation of another drink, proving that he can break free from the vice.
Featuring previous singles “NO RETURN” and “LET ME DOWN (GENTLY)”, the EP is shaping up to be a solid project with something for everyone. After emerging with debut single “Trainwreck” in 2020, All Regards have since played a number of sold-out headline shows, expanded into a four-piece and ventured interstate.
Having shared the stage with the likes of Bad Juju, Reside and Waxflower, they are gearing up for an exciting rest of the year to come. If these singles are anything to go by, the new EP will be well worth repeat listening and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
Add “FALLBACK” to your playlist from tomorrow and share it around. ALL OUR DREAMS TURN TO NIGHTMARES is out 1 November.
