Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Slowly Slowly strip down & reimagine new single “Aliens”

Bringing renewed vigour to their sophomore record, Melbourne’s Slowly Slowly have continued to whet the appetites of their fans with their newly released single, “Alliens”. The slow burner sees Slowly Slowly’s Ben Stewart at his best, writing lyrics that tug at the emotions while offering an insight into the candid nature of the process for himself along the way.

Stripping “Aliens” back to just piano and vocals for this special music video only goes further in highlighting the vulnerable nature of the song. As Stewart explains,

“We love doing the reimagined or live videos for our songs because you can’t get too carried away with production. It distills the song down to it’s most honest form and that, for me, is what I listen for when I write. It’s easy to get lost in a maze of guitar tones, layering and booming drums, but it has to feel right all the way to it’s core if it’s going to pass the test for us. I look for human-ness in music – I hope you get that from us.”
