Exclusive Album Premiere: Pink Harvest – Kind of Pink (2016)

With some heavy psych-influenced grooves, pitched with dark and attention-grabbing vocals, Melbourne’s Pink Harvest come out swinging with the material on their new album, Kind of Pink.

Premiering on the AU today, the band’s debut offering sees the trio emerge from recording at their home in Footscray with a collection of sounds that warps, envelops and comes crashing down with first playback. There’s an almost deranged quality about the guitar progressions and the way the vocals twist and weave throughout – a audio representation of a vivid dream after a heavy night out. A killer listen.

For Pink Harvest, the last year has been good to them in terms of releasing new music and having it prick the ears of listeners on their local turf. With debut EP Big Fancy Modern Architecture being received warmly and over 30 shows throughout Melbourne successfully in the bag, Pink Harvest are only just getting started. Kind of Pink is a huge stride forward.

Key tracks and must listens come in the form of “Born Again”, “Another Picturesque Day”, “Homage” and “Fishin’ for the Answers That You Seek”, though to listen to this album from beginning to end is a great journey to send yourself on today.

Get round it below!

Pink Harvest will be launching Kind of Pink on June 10th at the Ding Dong Lounge in Melbourne, supported by Plastic and Black Heart Death Cult.

Kind of Pink is available via the band’s Bandcamp from May 31st
