EWAH & The Vision Paradise headlining inaugural ‘Longlist Live’ event for the Australian Music Prize

While the judging panel for the 13th Australian Music Prize continues to listen through music and deliberate on what is set to become this year’s longlist, a new live music series has been announced today!

Established to showcase Australian artists who have released stunning records throughout 2017, these ‘Longlist Live’ events kicks off with an unmissable show at Melbourne’s Commercial Club Hotel on October 11th.

“I’m really proud of the band and album, so it’s exciting to be invited to Melbourne for this special show.” EWAH has said. “Many of the songs were written in Melbourne and the concept for this project began there. We are a bit bowled over that we’ve made the Longlist of the AMP, it’s pretty lovely to have this recognition. I hope that care is reflected in the album and that it is has longevity for listeners.”

Presented in conjunction with award partner Mountain Goat Beer, the free pop up show will see EWAH & The Vision of Paradise perform – the venue has a limited capacity, so it will be first in, best dressed!

More events will be announced as part of the series for October, November and December, with the final event set to coincide with the reveal of the official longlist. Stay tuned for more updates on these shows via the Australian Music Prize’s Facebook page, here.

If you are looking to submit your album for the AMP, it’s totally free – the only criteria you need to meet regarding albums is listed below:

  • All Australian artist albums released between January 1st 2017 and December 31st 2017
  • Releases must be at least nine tracks long or a minimum of 33 minutes/20 seconds of music
