Everything Everything announce world-first VR album launch

English rock group Everything Everything have announced an exclusive VR event to launch their forthcoming album Re-Animator.

Everything Everything: Virtual RE-ANIMATOR has been dubbed the first-ever “release show held in virtual reality”.

Hosted in partnership with Sansar, the event sees the band push their creativity to new heights, building upon the album campaign that began just as the COVID-19 age emerged.

Held across September 10th and 11th, the event will give ticket buyers the chance to enjoy various interactive real-time experiences, such as meeting the band and connecting with other like-minded fans.

The band have been known to blur the boundaries between humanity and technology, with frontman Jonathan Higgs having made DIY videos for previous singles “In Birdsong” and “Arch Enemy”.

The album Re-Animator will be released on 11 September.

The band hope to play shows globally again in 2021, with tours in England and Ireland already booked for March and April.
