Dr. G’s Djarimirri album to be performed live at the Queenscliff Music Festival

Dr. G‘s record Djamirri (Child of the Rainbow) was quick to be embraced by fans around the world, making him the country’s highest selling Indigenous artist of all time. While he may not be with us anymore, Dr G’s legacy lives on and in continuing to acknowledge his significance as an artist, the crew at the Queenscliff Music Festival will be hosting an unmissable performance at this year’s event.

Djarimirri will be performed in full by a 16 piece orchestra, led by Artistic Director Michael Hohnen and conducted by Erkki Veltheim. The orchestra, from the Australian National Academy of Music, will be joined on stage with a roster of special guests including Sarah Blasko.

Tickets for the Queenscliff Music Festival were selling quickly already but now, they’re expected to fly. Single day tickets are on sale from July 1st, to find out more information head on over to www.qmf.net.au.
