DMA’S announce six intimate shows at Sydney’s Factory Theatre

As live music slowly crawls back to the fore, a total of six “Unplugged & Intimate” Sydney shows have been announced by DMA’S. The four-time ARIA-nominees and constant hitmakers will be highlighting forthcoming third album The Glow, giving fans in their hometown the chance to be the very first in the world to hear the band’s latest material on stage. Yes, on an actual stage which, importantly, doesn’t require you to be in a car.

Tickets will be released on the same day as the album, Friday 10th July. There will be three dates, with two shows each night, at inner-west staple Factory Theatre. Promoters Frontier, I OH YOU and Secret Sounds have worked closely with the staff of Factory Theatre to ensure safety standards are kept high at all times, including during the changeover period between gigs which will allow for a thorough cleaning of the venue.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be opening our doors for such a special series of gigs with the DMA’S,” offered The Factory’s Sam Nardo. “This is a one-off opportunity that will no doubt be relished by fans who have waited a long time to get out there to support Aussie music and it’s simply great to be a part of it.”

Though the general sale kicks off on Friday, those who can’t wait to get their mitts on some tickets can dip into an exclusive artist pre-sale from 12pm (AEST) Wednesday 8th July. That one’s only accessible for fans who purchase a $9.99 bundle, which includes a digital download of the new album and a signed poster. All profits from the bundle will be donated to the Aboriginal Legal Service who are regulars in fighting for the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people in NSW and ACT.

On the same day, Frontier will also be hosting a pre-sale that kicks off at 2pm (AEST). Details can be found HERE.

Aside from the recently announced, and sold out, show from Lime Cordiale, these six gigs from the might DMA’S will be the first live sets we’ve seen from such a big act since first going into lockdown back in March. Needless to say, tickets will not last long.
