When David Bowie passed away recently, his final album Blackstar took on a whole extra weight and meaning for the fans who were rocked by the news of his death. It was an album project that continued to grow as well in the weeks following, with the news of a special visual accompaniment to to the album in UNBOUND: A★INSTAMINISERIES.
It’s been announced today that the miniseries will be premiering in full at SXSW Music on March 19th, with a discussion featuring the visual collaborators involved in Bowie’s Blackstar campaign as well as the miniseries creatives, Carolynn Cecilia and Lawrence Peryer. The speakers were given special early access to the album in order to develop a new content series, airing on Instagram – the full UNBOUND MINISERIES of which will be shown to the public for the first time in Austin.
Music and Platinum SXSW badge holders, and also Music and Artist wristband holders are invited to attend the screening, held in Room 16AB of the Austin Convention Center at 3:30pm.
