Daniel Caesar is heading back to Australia this November, expanding his Son of Spergy world tour with three headline arena shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The dates mark the long-awaited Australian leg of the singer-songwriter’s biggest global tour to date, following an extensive run across Asia, North America and Europe.
The tour arrives in support of Caesar’s fourth studio album Son of Spergy. Released late last year, the LP pairs Caesar’s silky smooth by-way-of-soul songwriting with huge collaborations from Bon Iver, Sampha, Blood Orange and Yebba. While those guest appearances form an impressive star-studded tracklist, the record remains unmistakably Caesar’s, balancing spacious production with the understated vocals and emotional honesty that have long defined his sound.
Caesar has described Son of Spergy as his most personal work to date, digging into themes of family, identity and reconciliation through a more intimate tracklist of reflective songs. It’s a natural progression from 2023’s NEVER ENOUGH, trading some of that record’s expansive feel for something closer to home, without losing the warmth that’s made his catalogue resonate with fans and newcomers alike.
