We can finally welcome international stars back to our shores, and Carriageworks has bagged some of the brightest for their Vivid Sydney line-up.
The Carriageworks precinct will come to life over two weekends in June, celebrating theatrical live performance and honest self-expression from across the globe. Visitors can expect incredible live music, large-scale light installations, performance art, pop-up bars, and rotating DJs to help them while away the weekend.
From American indie queer artist Perfume Genius, and Estonian rapper TOMM¥ €A$H, to Japan’s all-female rock sensations CHAI, and Perth’s dark-pop powerhouse Alter Boy, the Tom Supple curated line-up has plenty to get us (and you!) excited.
Resident company Performance Space will return for their fourth season at Carriageworks, showcasing the future of experimental art across the Asia-Pacific with Live Dreams, while Soft Centre has curated a full day of exciting sound, performance, installations, and collaborations.
Carriageworks CEO Blair French said:
“While the past two years have challenged the industry – both in Australia and overseas – live contemporary music remains a key feature and major drawcard for the Sydney cultural experience. [The program] aims to welcome back audiences to share in the spirit of a reconnected world–highlighting diverse artists from home and abroad.”
Vivid Sydney returns to Carriageworks June 2nd – 11th.
Presale tickets release Thursday 17th March at 9am, with general sale beginning at 2pm.
