Californian singer/songwriter Thundercat returns with new album, Drunk

Genre-defying, multi-instrumentalist Thundercat will release his third full-length album Drunk February 24th on Brainfeeder, via Inertia Music. Known for a rich history of collaborations with heavy-weights like Mac Millar and Childish Gambino, this 23-track release will have a bunch of special guests including Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar, Washington and Flying Lotus, just to name a few.

“Show You The Way” is the first official listen to the album and takes us, as Thundercat himself describes, “down the rabbit hole, taking you to another place… on the end of dark, there’s the brightest light“. Amongst a bobbing bass line and layers of shiny, 80’s synth comes the unlikely but delightfully soulful trio of both Thundercat, Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins’s vocals.
