Buena Vista All Stars will make their Australian debut in February 2027, bringing their 14-piece Cuban ensemble to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne for three exclusive shows.
Led by musical director Demetrio Muñiz and trumpeter Manuel Machado, both of whom have worked with the Buena Vista Social Club, the group celebrates Cuba’s musical heritage, drawing on traditional Cuban son and the island’s African and Spanish influences. Their acclaimed interpretation of the Buena Vista Social Club classic “Chan Chan” offers a taste of what audiences can expect from the ensemble.
Since 2024, the All Stars have sold out more than 65 shows across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. Highlights include a crowd of more than 20,000 at the Rio Loco Festival in Toulouse, France, and a sold-out performance for more than 7,000 people in Gijón, Spain.
The Australian tour begins at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday 11 February, before heading to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday 12 February and Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on Saturday 13 February.
