Brooklyn Whelan named Splendour in the Grass’ Artist in Residence for 2018

Splendour in the Grass has unleashed another new element to their Arts program, announcing some names being involved in this year’s festival, as well as their Artist in Residence for 2018, Brooklyn Whelan.

Up at the North Byron Parklands for Splendour, the first collaboration between the festival and an artist sees Splendour and Whelan team up to debut a site-specific video mapping project – Zero Three.

“Having the opportunity to collab with Australia’s biggest music and arts festival is a huge honour.” says Whelan. “I think its really important that local music and visual art talents come together in the one space to celebrate what an amazing creative community this country has.”

Further along on the program, the talented Andy Forbes, Shock Therapy Productions, Sam Songailo, Cool Shit, Ash Keating and Laith McGregor will also be injecting their own flair into Splendour’s proceedings with works set to be unleashed throughout the event site.
