Brooklyn trio Wet release new single “It’s All in Vain”

Brooklyn indie-pop trio Wet released their self-titled EP last year and almost instantly became one of the year’s biggest buzz bands, racking up a dedicated fan base and selling out shows both around the states and overseas. They’ve been fairly quiet since then; releasing two singles, “Deadwater” and “Weak”, from their forthcoming debut and patiently waiting for those to really sink in before delivering current track “It’s All in Vain” to satiate the high demand that surrounds them.

Just like the previous two singles, “It’s All in Vain” shows off the serenity and grace that vocalist Kelly Zutrau layers so delicately over a wispy R&B-inflected instrumental, crashing off skittering drums in a subdued, meditative dance that lifts the tortured lyrics into a visceral mix of love and pain. Listen to the breathtaking song below and fall in love with Wet all over again.
