Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus has announced An Evening Of Storytelling in Melbourne and Sydney, which will take place in March 2026. Sharing stories of growing up in the 80s and going on to form one of the biggest bands of his generation, this evening of storytelling will give fans the chance to see Hoppus in an intimate setting.
The announcement comes off the back of the wildly successful release of his memoir, Fahrenheit-182, earlier this year. The memoir allowed fans to get an insight into his life before, during and after (and during, again) Blink-182, including his shock cancer diagnosis in 2021.
Blink-182 toured Australia in 2024, selling out fifteen arena shows across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. If you were there, you’d agree that this was Blink-182 at their best- after years of tumultuous relationships within the band, including two massive breakups, reconciliation seemed impossible.
The band moved on from lead singer Tom Delonge in 2015 when Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba joined, and they released two records, receiving grammy nominations and playing massive shows. While they certainly seemed to be thriving, fans tried to make peace with the fact that Blink would never be the same again. This changed in 2022, when seemingly out of nowhere they announced a reunion with Delonge rejoining the band, to the complete and utter shock of fans. A fresh new chapter, their 2023 record One More Time received rave reviews from critics and fans alike, with select tracks becoming instant classics. Their Australian tour featured old and new tracks, dick jokes a-plenty and sperm confetti, proving that Blink-182 were back and here to stay.
