Beyond The Valley Day 3 arrived with a noticeable and welcome shift in pace and temperature, which was exactly what the festival needed. After the chaos and intensity of Day 2, Tuesday felt like a collective exhale. Attendees were obviously still keen on partying like there’s no tomorrow, but there was a calmer, more cruise energy floating across the grounds. The wind had picked up but the heat had backed off, and while the dust was next-level, the cooler weather made the overall experience far more comfortable.
glaive brought the energy on the Valley Stage late in the afternoon, setting the tone for the evening nicely. A relatively small crowd gathered, but those who were there were fully locked in. It felt like a classic festival moment where you stumble upon an act and end up staying because the vibes are just too good to resist.
Across the rest of the site, it was clear that the festival had fully warmed up. The Red Bull Unforeseen, Smirnoff Ice Cream Parlous and Jack’s House Party were all absolutely packed and going off. No matter where you wandered, there was something happening- DJs pumping and crowds refusing to slow down. Despite fatigue creeping in, people were still going hard. A secret set from AZYR over at Dr. Dans had the grounds overflowing with patrons eager to get close to the action. Due to the overwhelm, it was impossible to get close enough to see anything at all, but that didn’t stop anyone.
Another long-awaited attraction finally came to life with the Inflatable Church opening its doors. Lines quickly formed as people queued to marry their lovers, friends and festival flings in unholy matrimony. It looked ridiculous, joyful and perfectly suited to Beyond The Valley, adding a playful touch to an already light-hearted day.
Spacey Jane took to the Valley Stage as the sun disappeared, perfectly suited to the chilled-vibes of Day 3. Their music floated across the valley as a massive crowd gathered. There was something very wholesome about seeing everyone soak in the music and the moment, after going so crazy in the Dance Dome and various house party settings around the site.
The Dance Dome never sleeps, with I Hate Models playing a massive set as night turned into morning. Again full to the brim, it was difficult to get a good look, not that most attendees seemed to mind.
The weather change definitely played a huge role in shaping Day 3. Though the strong winds were frustrating, the cool change was welcome after the intense heat of the previous few days. Face coverings became essential, although most people seemed happy to trade a bit of dirt for not being cooked by the sun.
Overall, Day 3 felt like a great reset. A little more chilled, a little less frantic, but still packed with moments that reminded everyone why this festival is so special. You could definitely feel the fatigue setting in, but the atmosphere was still there,, and the excitement for Day 4 was building. With massive headline acts like Turnstile, Kid Cudi and Dom Dolla set to ring in the new year, Beyond The Valley is perfectly poised for a huge final day.
