Beach Slang’s James Alex on their first visit to Australia, bucket list moments and A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings

I caught up with Beach Slang‘s James Alex, while he was in Australia last week for Splendour in the Grass. We spoke at length about his trip down under, and progress to discuss those bucket list moments which he continues to tick off in his career…

In part two of our interview, we look ahead to the band’s Sophomore record A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings, due out in September. He reflects on the album’s name, and how “teenage feelings” and punk music have always been intertwined. We wonder at what point it stops being OK to sing about “teenage feelings”…

A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings is out September 23rd. Pre-order the record at their official website.
