After appearing on stage at the Oxford Art Factory with Urthboy last week, popular emerging MC B Wise has officially been announced as the latest artist to have joined the Sydney based label, Elefant Traks!
Announcing the news on stage at the show, all the press releases surrounding the new signing were distributed today so we’re kinda Facebook/internet official now. And we’re damn excited to see where B Wise is headed next.
At the moment, the “Prince Akeem” maestro is in the stages of finishing off his debut EP, due out in August. Following impressive sets supporting the likes of Vince Staples and Yelawolf, not to mention turning heads of many local hip hop fans down the east coast this year, B Wise is positioned to go even further under the wing of Elefant Traks.
He describes his working relationship with Urthboy in particular, following his joint on the latter’s single “Running Into The Flames”, “Over the last 12 months, Urthboy and I have built a solid relationship and I’ve always found his insights sincere and inspiring. This assured me that joining the Elefant Traks family would provide me with the support system to created the way I wanted and not be afraid to do things a little different to what’s coming out of the Australian scene at the moment.”
