The iconic Spilt Milk festival has announced its lineup and locations for this December, with one notable change: the Victorian edition is officially relocating from its home in Ballarat to Geelong, and we locals are over the moon. With a killer lineup featuring headline artists like Raye and Lewis Capaldi, it’s definitely going to be a game-changer for Geelong in more ways than one. While Headline acts are sure to draw a guaranteed crowd, there’s also an impressive array of local talent on this year’s lineup that deserve your attention. Here are 5 underrated Aussie acts you need to catch if you’re planning on attending Spilt Milk 2026.
Becca Hatch
Winning Triple J Unearthed’s High Indigenous Initiative in 2017, 25-year-old Becca Hatch has opened and performed with artists like Coldplay and Tinashe. Her 2024 EP, Mayday, was nominated for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award at the 2024 ARIAs, and her single “Blessed” has racked up over two million streams on Spotify. Hatch’s latest single, “Daylight Robbery”, is a soulful R&B track that showcases her knack for meaningful songwriting and killer vocals perfectly. It’s moody, powerful and catchy, and absolutely destined for the main stage.
Harry Hayes
Sydney DJ Harry Hayes has been turning heads most recently with his 2026 single “I Did You Wrong” after it was recently added to Triple J’s rotations. His dance anthems are exactly that- anthemic. Definitely the type of music that’ll have you off your feet, but with a genuine soul behind them. Hayes has the pep of an artist early in their career, with the skills of someone far more established. He’s on the brink of blowing up, so catching him at Spilt Milk will be a definite highlight.
Miss Kannina
If you haven’t had the pleasure of witnessing a Miss Kannina set yet, you’re missing out. She has an unmatched energy that she brings to every show, delivering every single time. The first independent Aboriginal woman to ever be nominated for a debut single at the ARIAs, her accolades speak for themselves, but so does her music. She’s outspoken, unfiltered and just insanely talented. Her upcoming EP BLACKPRINT is due out on August 21, so there’s plenty of time to learn lyrics before catching her on stage.
The Terrys
You can’t really get more Aussie than The Terrys. Their biggest track, “Our Paradise”, secured them the number 76 spot on Triple J’s Hottest 100 in 2021, and they’ve been onwards and upwards ever since. Their 2025 self-titled record delivers a fun Aussie surf-rock sound with a laid-back summer vibe that’ll suit an outdoor festival perfectly.
The Moving Stills
The Moving Stills describe their sound as “plant based rock”, and while I don’t know exactly what that means, somehow it makes sense. Their light, breezy sound mixed with synths and buzzy guitars has such a nostalgic, happy feeling that listening to them just feels freeing. Their latest single, “Rock Band”, is no exception, and I can’t wait to hear them live, in the summer sun, as god intended.
