You can now stream your Spotify tunes straight to Sonos speakers without ever leaving the app

Sonos’ smartphone app is pretty neat. It lets you control your Sonos speakers and what is playing on them all from one convenient location. How many times, however, have you been browsing Spotify in its own app, forgetting that it isn’t connected to your Sonos speakers? If you’re like is, you do this at least four or five times a day. Well great day in the morning, Sonos owners, because starting today you’ll never have that problem again.

The Spotify app was updated this morning across iOS and Android allowing users to send any song playing in the app straight to your Sonos speakers without any extra messing around.

Further, all from the Spotify app, you can now group all your Sonos speakers together and tweak the volume, and even let your friends take control of the Sonos as long as they’re on the same wifi network (and can be trusted not to play anything awful).

This is all fantastic news, especially considering how close we are to having family around for the holidays. Setting the atmosphere around the table will never have been easier.
