Tokyo Game Show 2015: Yakuza remaster coming to PS3 and PS4, Yakuza 6 happening also

Sega have announced during Sony’s pre-TGS 2015 press event that a remaster of their original Japanese crime adventure Yakuza (called Ryo Ga Gotoku at home) is on its way to PS3 and PS4 in Japan this year.

This remastered version of the first game in the series will feature brand new goodies for fans that, according to creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, simply couldn’t be done when the game was released on PS2 back in 2005.

Not content to stop there, Nagoshi also revealed a brand new entry in the series – Yakuza 6. He didn’t go into any serious details aside from a logo but it was made clear that Yakuza 6 will be a PS4 exclusive and will ship in Japan this year.

Fingers crossed for local releases on both counts.
