Splatoon’s Tower Control mode unlocks today

Nintendo have announced that their kid-or-squid shoot-em-up Splatoon will receive its next online multiplayer mode today when Tower Control is added to Ranked Battles.

The aim of the game in Tower Control, similar to the Payload game type found in other shooters, is to clamber aboard a mobile tower and then ride that bad boy straight into the enemy base. The tower will only start moving when your team has it controlled.

Nintendo will be showing off the new mode in an episode of Nintendo Treehouse that kicks off at 8am AEST over on their Twitch channel.

We really loved Splatoon when we played it for review a few weeks ago and you can check that out right here.
