PlayStation Australia is giving away four IRL Platinum Trophies, but you’ll have to work for them

Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia is kicking off a new competition called PlayStation Plus Platinum Hunters. The goal is for players to unlock every trophy within four specific games.

Platinum trophies, PlayStation’s equivalent of an Achievement, are notoriously difficult to obtain. They are only unlocked upon obtaining 100% of a given game’s list of trophies.

The competition will span four different games over the next few months — FIFA 18 (releasing 26/9), Gran Turismo Sport (releasing October 18), and Call of Duty: WWII (releasing November 3) with a fourth and final title yet to be announced (we’ll update this piece when it is). To enter the competition, players must acquire every last trophy from any of the games listed above and unlock that game’s Platinum trophy. Once obtained, they must take a screenshot using the Share button on their PS4 and upload it to Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #PlusPlatinumHunters and tagging @PlayStationAU.

The fourth and final game in the competition, as stated, will be revealed in the next few weeks. With sports, racing and shooting all represented in the competition, our money’s on Middle-earth: Shadow of War to round out the genre set. You can find out more about the competition over at PlayStation Australia.
Good hunting.
