New featurette shows just how bananas Rise of the Tomb Raider looks on PC

It’s been just over two months since Rise of the Tomb Raider launched on the Xbox One to widespread critical acclaim (and less-than-stellar sales due to a launch date that saw it release against Fallout 4). Tomorrow, it arrives on PC and we’ve now got our first look at it running on top-end hardware.

For proponents of the PC Master Race, this featurette will be exactly what they’re hoping to see – lots of technical breakdowns showing exactly how the game has been further optimised from its already gorgeous Xbox One version, and the additional bells and whistles available specifically for Nvidia cards.

For the curious, here’s the minimum spec you’ll need to run the game:

  • OS: Windows 7 64bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD equivalent
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 650 2GB or AMD HD7770 2GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 25 GB available space

Fairly humble as gaming rigs go, but to make the most of it I’ve seen many outlets recommending a current-gen Intel Core i5 processor and an Nvidia GTX 970 for a more optimal experience. That 6GB of RAM, however, is a bit steep no matter which way you slice it.
