2K has revealed overnight that the reigning NBA MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder will be the cover athlete for the standard edition of NBA 2K26.
It only makes sense. Aside from the winning the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, he’s wrapped up a scoring title, All-Star and All-NBA selections, along with both Western Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP.
Given this is for the standard edition cover, it’s safe to assume that alternate versions of the game running with other stars, possibly both past and present.
