NBA 2K24 will not only feature NBA legend Kobe Bryant as its cover athlete but introduce several new features for another year of simulated NBA goodness.
Right out of the gate, NBA 2K24 will launch with crossplay for online activity between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players.
As Kobe returns to the NBA 2K cover, players can celebrate his storied and legendary 20-year career in the new Mamba Moments mode. Similar to NBA 2K23’s Jordan Challenge mode, some of Kobe’s most iconic games and stat lines will see him transform from the bright-eyed rookie, to one of the greatest players that the game of basketball has ever known.
NBA 2K24 will also introduce ProPLAY. This groundbreaking new technology will look to directly translate real NBA footage into on-court gameplay through new animations and player movements. This feature will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
WNBA All-Star, NCAA all-time triple-doubles leader and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu will also feature on the cover of NBA 2K24’s WNBA Edition, although it’s worth noting this version will only be made available in the U.S. and Canada.
While we wait for NBA 2K24, NBA 2K23 players can take part in a MyTEAM Triple Threat Challenge game against three different eras of Kobe, to earn special rewards in both NBA 2K23 and the upcoming NBA 2K24, which will kick off on July 8 and run until August 29.
The NBA 2K24 Kobe Bryant Edition will be available for A$99.95 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, A$89.95 on Nintendo Switch and PC, and A$119.95 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The Black Mamba Edition will also be available for A$159.95 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The NBA 2K franchise will also celebrate 25 years as the top-rated and top-selling basketball video game of all time with a 25th Anniversary Edition. This version will be available for a limited time at A$235.95 and will include a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass, a Summer League Pre-Order Bonus and much more.
